Complete bed rest after the embryo transfer is not necessary, but it would be good to reduce any undue stress.
In fresh cycles embryo transfer is done on day3/day5 of ovum pick up.
In frozen embryo transfers, as per the patients requirement it is done after endometrial preparation by HRT or transferred in a natural or stimulated cycle.
The blood test for confirmation of pregnancy (β HCG) is done 16 days after the Oocyte retrieval for day3 transfers and after 14 days for day5 transfer.
